ABOUT NEAL

Neal Harris is a certified pickleball coach (through the Professional Pickleball Registry-PPR), and is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, with a master’s degree in counseling psychology.  He has practiced the art of psychotherapy for almost 40 years.  He also recently retired from owning/running a holistic education center where he taught various forms of relaxation practices, energy therapies and had developed a line of finger labyrinth tools to enhance relaxation, communication, focus and prayer; one of which, he holds a patent on.

For the past 11 years, he’s been a passionate enthusiast of playing pickleball and for the past 9 years, he’s been teaching both beginners and intermediate pickleball players how to play the game better and smarter.

Neal’s playing style might best be termed as “soft”.  This means that he doesn’t try to overpower his opponents with fast, hard shots (anyone can learn to hit the ball hard).  Rather, he strives to place the ball where his opponents are not or hit it to places on the court that make it more difficult for them to return the ball effectively.  It’s a game of strategy and patience, keeping the ball in play and waiting for his opponents to make a mistake.  It’s this thinking-person’s style that makes him a sought-after partner in both recreational and competitive play.
